I was surprised when I checked in and saw the new website. I think you guys did a really good job with it's creation. The layout looks good. Hoping for the best for the new year at the Kenosha Linux Users Group.

For those in the Racine area that are using Facebook you might want to consider joining the facebook group "Racine WI's Very Own Computer Boneyard". It is a gathering place for those interested in buying, selling, trading, or giving old computers or computer parts.

I have installed Linux Mint 8 and as usual it was an easy install and is running great. When I first installed, the computer video was very choppy and I thought for sure there was a bug in the OS. As it turned out my computer was dirty and running hot. Just goes to show you that you shouldn't be to quick to blame the Linux distro.

I have referred a couple people to open accounts at KLUG and they have tried but tell me they have to enter the captca code but none show up in the box. Are you having problems or are we doing something wrong.

I have switched to Linux Mint 7 when my Ubuntu got messed up by me. I was thinking why go through the hassle of setting up Ubuntu again when the 9.10 release is so close so I thought I would try Mint 7. I have found Mint 7 easy to install and all the video and audio are pre-installed. I would suggest anyone looking to switch someone from Windows to Linux use Linux Mint. The common user will find it easy to learn and use.

I am fairly new to linux. I started off and on with Ubuntu 7.04. Since then I found linux to be getting better with each new release. Most of my time is spent in Ubuntu 9.04 even though my machine is set up to dual boot with windows xp. If it weren't for my wife I could easily go 100% linux.

I have set up one friend with Ubuntu after his windows 98 Dell became infested with more viruses then you can imagine. He made the switch to a full time ubuntu user and has never been happier.
